Spring Wedding for Amy & Tim

Bonnie and I had the pleasure of photographing Tim and Amy’s truly FUN wedding! The wedding was at Zilker Park, and like the couple, the atmosphere was fun, and relaxing for all who attended, complete with cue cards! When the crowd was asked whether these two where perfect for each other…the answer was a resounding yes! I like Tim’s reaction to the cheers.

Amy makes her grand entrance, and even onlookers had to stop to enjoy!

A sweet kiss that lingered, while Tim’s brother (officiant) looks on with smiles, and of course approval!

Bubbles!! See told you it was fun for everyone.

Open House at Leander Old Town Chapel

Just want to let my brides to be know that there is an open house this coming sunday March 13th at Leander Old Town Chapel from 1 to 5pm. Mom called and said she needed a birth announcement photograph for Mimi. She wanted to book the session because she missed doing birth announcement sessions for her other children. So we not only captured images of all three, but had a blast doing so.

One of our favorite families to not only photograph but to keep up with is the Moran family. We started photographing Brenna when she was about a year old, and have done sessions every since. The Morans are special because of their sacrifice, and service to our country. Brian currently serves in the military. Bonnie and I are proud to know, and photograph this family!

During our busy summer, we did a few family portraits. It was a hot day in August. Bonnie and I worried that this was too much for a 1 year plus little one. Enter baby Parker. Just look at his expressions! No worries here for mom or Parker!

Not Fishing…

Judging by my last post back in July you would have thought that I had a lazy laid back summer. Nope! Just haven’t been able to get back to the blog in awhile because it has been busy. We have seen more family portraits lately, and even a commercial shoot for a local car dealer! I had fun scouting the location for the shoot, and yes cars are a definite challenge because they reflect everything! Here are a few of my favorites.

Sometimes things are so hectic you can’t catch your breath! Its been that way lately at D&B! If we aren’t shooting weddings (which I still have to post the latest), then its doing all things D&B. Sometimes I’d rather be fishing! Now truthfully I haven’t gone fishing since childhood, but this image I took this past winter sits on my desktop to remind me that sometimes we all need to get away from it all, and hang out the sign that says “Gone Fishing” Good luck in reaching this important goal …go fishing (or just take a break)!

Heather’s Portrait Session

Bonnie and I love covering weddings! Its our passion! However, Heather is an aspiring model, and we like to keep busy. This session allowed me to “play” and learn more about a few techniques I’ve wanted to try, but didn’t have the opportunity to with the fast pace of the wedding day.

Joe & Ashley Wedding at Leander Old Town Chapel

Old Town Chapel in Leander, Texas is a intimate, and comfortable venue to hold your wedding and reception. I photographed Joe and Ashley’s wedding there, and had a great time. I got the unique viewpoint of watching the groom over the past few months plan the wedding. I always hear how it goes for the bride, and grooms tend to be in the background. However Joe and I go back a few years, and he knows that I photograph weddings. So he would tell me about the plans, and how it was going. Now they both can relax and enjoy married life!
